The Effect of Financial Behaviour on Investment Decision among Saccos Members in Dar es sallam, Tanzania.

The study sought to examine the effect of financial behaviour on investment decision among SACCOS members in Dar es Salaam Tanzania. The current study employed a descriptive research design where by 10 good-performing SACCOS were selected to constituted 110,646 members as population. From that population a sample of 200 were drawn using stratified sampling technique. Numeric data were collected using structured questionnaire. To analyze the data descriptive statistics, correlation and linear regression were used. The study found that the independent variable financial behavior was positive and statistically significant related to investment decision among saccos members in Dar es Salaam. Therefore, from the findings the study recommends that SACCO develop and implement behavioural finance education programs specifically tailored to SACCOS members. These programs should focus on understanding and modifying behavioural biases that can influence investment decisions.
